  • Urinary stress incontinence is one of the most common types of incontinence. It occurs when urine involuntarily leaks from your bladder due to movement. Some activities that frequently cause stress incontinence episodes include sneezing, coughing, or lifting heavy objects.
  • Many of our customers with this condition feel that they’re alone. The truth is that millions of individuals live with urinary incontinence. Others think that it’s a normal part of aging. While stress urinary incontinence is more common with age and hormonal shifts, the good news is that we can treat it.

This is due to the extra pressure on the pelvic area and hormonal changes during pregnancy.

  • Vaginal dryness can be associated with vaginal laxity. Nearly one in three women experience it. This common menopause symptom is more than uncomfortable. It causes vaginal atrophy, which means that the vaginal becomes less elastic and thinner. Vaginal dryness isn’t just a little uncomfortable. Those with it can feel constant itchiness or burning. Sex can quickly become extremely painful.
  • Although most people associate vaginal dryness with menopause, the reduced estrogen levels that cause this symptom can occur for a variety of reasons. Some of these include chemotherapy, breastfeeding, and some anti-estrogen medications used to treat endometriosis. Other causes of vaginal dryness include Sjögren’s Syndrome, allergy medications, and some antidepressant medications.

Who are Ideal Candidates for EmpowerRF’s FormaV?

At Evolve Health and Wellness, we strive to make non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation and other women’s health services as comfortable and convenient as possible. Before the procedure, we offer a vaginal rejuvenation consultation. We’ll develop an individualized treatment plan for each customer during this particular session. We encourage everyone to ask as many questions as they need to feel fully informed and confident in their decision to proceed, postpone, or reconsider this procedure.

To ensure optimal results, we ask everyone to schedule this treatment for a week when they are not having their menstrual period. We also ask each customer to be sure she is not pregnant. The customer should discontinue Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen a few days before the session as well as any blood thinners. Women should refrain from sexual intercourse 24 hours beforehand. Pubic hair also needs to be trimmed or removed prior to the session.

What To Expect During the Treatment

This treatment takes place in our private and quiet treatment area with our InMode practitioner and can last anywhere from 15 to 40 minutes, depending on individual treatment needs. During the session, our specialty-trained nurse places the treatment wand on the vulva and inside the vagina to reach the areas being treated.

The wand uses uniform volumetric, or evenly distributed, heat to stimulate collagen and elastin production. This feels mildly warm but should not feel painful. We encourage our customers to tell us when anything feels uncomfortable so we can pause and find another approach that works better for them.

Downtime After the Treatment

One of the most attractive aspects of EmpowerRF’s FormaV is that it requires no downtime. This therapy gets our customers the results they want and is completely safe. It’s so gentle that all activities are permitted once the session is over, including sexual intercourse. Life continues as the treatment continually works over several weeks to provide maximum results. Although treatment goals vary, many customers receive a series of monthly treatments.
